Helping Hands of Springfield is the recipient of this year’s AlignLife of Springfield Thanksgiving in July food drive.
Helping Hands of Springfield is the only all-male shelter in the city. It offers housing, laundry, food, health services, legal advice, financial management and several programs for their clients.
We are asking our clients, families, and friends to drop off donations by the end of July. The shelter is in need of soaps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, razors and shaving cream, bike locks, socks, creamer, sugar, coffee cups, toothbrush and soap travel cases, and laundry soap.
Last year our supporters generously donated more than 1,200 non-perishable food items and toiletries to Kumler Outreach Ministries, which meets people where they live, feeds the hungry, cares for the sick, helps clothe people, teaches life skills and how to build better relationships.
If you are interested in becoming a new patient we are offering a free consultation and exam for two bags filled with requested items.
Emily Handley, our licensed massage therapist, is also offering a free 60-minute massage session for every two bags of goods delivered to our office.
We are confident this will be our best drive yet; here’s an opportunity to do good for the community and invest in your health at the same time.
If you would like to donate to our Thanksgiving in July drive please drop off items at the AlignLife of Springfield office at 2025 West Iles Ave near Schnucks before July 31.
